Cagamas Berhad (Cagamas) and Cagamas SRP Berhad (Cagamas SRP) hosted a product briefing session on the First Home Mortgage Guarantee Programme (FHMGP) for FIs. Cagamas SRP, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cagamas Holdings Berhad, plans to offer FHMGP to the FIs in the near future. The programme allows eligible first-time Malaysian homebuyers to obtain up to 110% financing from the FIs to purchase their first home and provides FIs the opportunity to enhance their capital management and portfolio risk. Zulieka Zulkipli, Head of Cagamas SRP, and Rusma Ida Adurus Assistant Vice President of Operations of Cagamas, conducted the two-day session.
