Cagamas Berhad (Cagamas) recently participated in the Islamic Finance in Focus webinar series which was organised by Moody’s Investors Service (Moody’s). The webinar entitled “Growth in Malaysia's Islamic Finance: Resilient Despite Challenges”, started with a fireside chat with Datuk Chung Chee Leong, President/ Chief Executive Officer followed by a panel discussion with other panelists from MARC Ratings Berhad and Moody’s. The discussions revolved around Malaysia’s approach towards sukuk issuances and the growth of Islamic Finance in Malaysia including the challenges and opportunities to drive sustainable finance through Shariah principles.
