Cagamas welcomed a delegation from the Bank of Uganda and Ministry of Finance Uganda, led by Simon Rutega, Executive Director Advisor, Financial Markets Development, Bank of Uganda for a benchmark study visit to assist in the establishment of a mortgage refinance institution in Uganda. The delegates were briefed on history of mortgage refinancing in Malaysia, overview of Cagamas and its business model. In addition, Cagamas facilitated a series of briefings with its stakeholders to provide a comprehensive understanding on the mortgage refinance business in Malaysia.
