Cagamas Berhad (Cagamas), the National Mortgage Corporation of Malaysia, supported B40 single mothers entrepreneurs with business capital goods aid in collaboration with Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM) under the Cagamas Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. This aid is aimed to empower single mothers from low-income background to increase their household incomes through entrepreneurship. During the handover ceremony, held in Kuala Lumpur, a total of 20 single mothers from Kelantan received items which included sewing machines, commercial refrigerators and a sugar cane juicer with a total sum of RM29,999.
Cagamas and AIM’s partnership which was initiated in 2015, has since assisted a total of 130 single mothers nationwide with a total contribution of RM140,000.
